🚧 Why? Practice enjoying the food you eat every day.

I find myself mindless eating all too often - scrolling on my phone while chewing, racing through meals, barely tasting what I worked so hard to buy / prepare. Grateful eating combines the practice of mindfulness with appreciation for our food, the places it comes from, and the people who brought it to us.

Research suggests that mindful eating helps people savor food more, eat satisfying amounts, and develop a healthier relationship with eating - not through rules or restrictions, but through presence and awareness.

🚧 When & Where? Four options.

I am finding us a few locations. If you know of or own a space that can host 50+ people at tables, please email hamraduncan@gmail.com.

Wednesday the 26th from 5-6:15pm at ___________

🚧 Who? 50+ grateful neighbors.

We'll start with some brief instruction, a few minutes of silent eating, and enjoy a delicious meal together for the reminder of our time.

🚧 What? Reflect, share, connect.

Come hungry! We'll practice eating without phones, savoring each bite, and appreciating the full journey of our meal.

  1. 5min - Arrival and settling in.
  2. 10min - Guided raisin meditation (eating mindfulness primer) while we wait + silent journaling.
  3. 10min - Eating with instruction lead by one of the restaurant staff.
  4. 5min - Silent savoring.
  5. Remaining time - Enjoy your table neighbors and some tasty food.
  6. Before you leave - Leave a tip, and write a note thanking someone in the restaurant for the food, the service, etc.
